Brother printers are often known for their excellent printing speed and reliability. New Brother printers are easy to set up with any device. You can connect your Brother printer PC, phone, or network easily. These printers offer both wired and wireless connection services. Setting up Brother printer to PC via cable
If you want to connect your Brother printer to a PC, use a cable. You will receive a USB cable with your printer. Connect the printer to the PC using the cable. Wait for some time and you will see a New Device Connected pop-up. Click on the pop-up and complete the setup. If you don’t get any pop then follow the given instructions:
Go to the Devices folder

Connecting Brother printer to PC wirelessly
If your cable is not working or doesn't have a cable then you can connect your Brother printer to PC wirelessly. Go to the PC and enable the Wi-Fi. Now go to your Brother printer and enable the Wi-Fi button. The Wi-Fi lamp of the printer will start blinking. Now go to the PC and open the Printers & Scanners folder. Click on Add a Device and wait. Your Brother printer name will appear on the available devices list. Tap on the printer name and it will connect to your device. Make sure you have installed a Brother printer driver and now you can take the printouts.

Why is Brother printer showing offline status?
Inspect the driver
Sometimes, the printer keeps going offline Windows 7 after the connection. This error mainly appears when the printer can’t find the required driver. You should immediately check the driver on the connected PC. Go to the computer and open your driver’s folder. Now look for the Brother printer driver. If the driver is outdated; run the updates. In case you don’t have the correct printer driver then install it on your computer.
Check the services
Sometimes, you can get this problem when the printer services are not working correctly. Go to the printer and check the services. To run those services you should power restart the device. Go to the printer and eject the power cord. Now wait for a few seconds and reconnect the cable. Your Brother printer will restart and all the printer services will start from the beginning. Now go to the printer and check the status. If the printer shows Online status, start taking your printouts.
Reset the printer
If the printer shows offline status after changing some of the settings then undo the changes. Go to your printer settings and revert all the recent changes. If you can’t revert the changes then reset the settings. Go to Menu and open printer settings. Now hit the Reset option and select Reset All. Your printer will Reset to factory settings. After resetting your printer, you have to configure the printer to your PC. After configuration, check the printer status and start taking your printouts.
